Here lies. [the upper section is an acrostic poem spelling the name
of the deceased Baruch but it is difficult to read]
The two hands, with four fingers each divided into two sets of two fingers, is the symbol of a priestly blessing — this signifies a Cohen.
Baruch son of ? our teacher and rabbi Moshe Cohen May the memory of the righteous
be of a blessing…….died on Thursday 4 Iyar [4 May 1843] and was buried on Friday [5 May 1843] in the year 5603
by the abbreviated era
May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life
