The first shabat in Pinczow after WWII took part in small shtetl in Kielce region - Pinczow in days June 16 - 17. The festivities began last Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the town's cultural center auditorium where we were entertained for 90 minutes by the students of the local high school who produced a play called "what is Szabbat." Dressed in the costume familiar from 19th century Polish shtetl life, the students blessed the Sabbath candles and made Kiddush over the wine and amotzei over the bread on a stage decorated with Szabbat themes and all the while explaining the meaning of Szabbat from creation to czulent. Then a musical performance. Stirring melodies and original words. The program's most moving song was performed by a teacher and her student who sang "brothers, wherever you are, wherever you may be, we will remember you." The main leader of this event was Michael Traison
