A respected old man full of days died of old age, his righteous heart was honest with people and with the Lord in the heavens, died and returned to a merciful world with a happy soul and a willing spirit, with a pure heart and without disgrace and blemish on Nisan 5608 [17 April 1848] on the fourteen of the month and was buried on the sixteen of it YOEL [the remainder is missing] Translated by Sara Mages (smages@comcast.net)
