Here lies a trustworthy man of many good deeds, known for his good name … was upright ..... kindhearted and helped the poor… was honest and God-fearing, HaRav Yoel son of the late HaRav Haim [Chaim] of blessed memory in the world to come, died and was buried with a good reputation on the first day of the month of Adar 5536 [21 February 1776] by the abbreviated era May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
