Here lies a trustworthy man righteous in his ways, honest in his deeds, the glory of his sons, the supreme elderly who lived over the age of 80, the honorable rabbi Moshe [Moses] Yehudah [Judah] son of the honorable Mordechai Danzinger a slaughterer and examiner of the holy community of Mattenbuedene, died on Thursday morning 24 Tamuz [5 July 1877] and was buried on the eve of the holy Sabbath 25 of the month [Friday 6 July 1877] 5637 May his rest be graceful May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life Translated by Sara Mages (smages@comcast.net)
