"Here lies the renowned rabbi the light of the Diaspora, the rabbi of all the courtiers in the Diaspora, our teacher and rabbi, Rabbi Simcha HaCohen Rapaport Rapoport. May the memory of the holy righteous be of a blessing in the world to come, son of the genius Rabbi Nahman HaCohen of blessed memory, head of the rabbinical court of the community of Dobna/ Yavna, Horodno, Lublin. And from there he was assigned to the rabbinical court of the community of Lvov to replace the sage Tzvi/ Zwi, but he died here on the crossroads according to an event that took place here. His resting place is near our teacher and rabbi Rabbi Chaim HaCohen of blessed memory, on the 7th day of Av year 5478 [4 August 1718] as the abbreviated era. Was rewarded to sons and son-in-laws, our sages the pillars of the Torah, the genius of their generation, he promised that each month, up to ten generations, he will do them a favor when they come to his grave.
