FROM RIGHT TO LEFT. 1. Here lies a man upright and honest, all of his deeds were done with skill, walked in the honest path, the wise elderly man, the honorable rabbi R’ Elazar Gershon son of the late teacher and rabbi ? of blessed memory, died on the second day of the month of Tamuz in the year 5647 [24 June 1887] by the abbreviated era. May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life. 2. Here lies. All of you cry with fury, the earth covered his glory and his days were cut, all of you praise him with a bitter voice, his ways were always honest, his light will ignite in paradise, the young man our teacher and rabbi Yehudah son of… [the remainder is obstructed by grass]. 3. Here lies a man who always followed the honest path, his deeds were done with skill, our teacher and rabbi R’ Zev Yosef son of our teacher and rabbi Nisan.
