The hand inserting a coin into a collection tin (at the bottom of the stone) symbolizes the charitableness of the deceased. Here lies Reizel Scher/ Shehr. Bad and bitter was the day of her passing, her offspring will shout Oh for her, extended her hand to the poor with all might, our mother was a crown of gold for her sons, gave to the poor in secret, was 6? years at the time of her death, Reizel daughter of Reb Moshe Ajzik, died on ? ? in the year 5701 [1940/41] May her soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
