A tombstone for a beloved and respected Yeshiva student
the scholar our teacher the rabbi Yehudah [Judah] Tzvi [Zvi,Zwi,Cwi]
son of our teacher the rabbi Avraham [Abraham] of blessed memory
died 17 to the month of Mar Heshvan in the year 5644 [17 November 1883]
by the abbreviated era May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life
left to his friends’ grief and sigh, his friends will testify to
the glory of his actions, studied the Torah that he received from his parents,
young in days, the days of his youth, his memory will last to the end
of days and he will be awaken from the earth…. [the reminder is buried
