Here lies a man upright and honest, respected
and loved by people, negotiated with trust,
sought righteousness and benevolence all of
his days, our teacher and rabbi
Yakov Dawid son of Naftali Meir of blessed memory
died 19 Elul 5696
at the age of 50 years [7 August 1936]
May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life
