Here was buried a prominent Torah scholar ,
worshiped God truthfully, engaged in the Torah and in piety for the
sanctification of God’s name, Reb Yedidia son of the rabbi R’
Dow Berish May the memory of the righteous be of a blessing,
a judge and teacher in Tuszyn [Tushin in Yiddish], grandson
of the holy rabbi R' Moshe Aharon of blessed memory head of the rabbinical
court of Kutno, and grandson of the genius the holy Rabbi Nachum
blessed memory head of the rabbinical court in Sochaczew [Sochatshev in Yiddish],
brother of the Shakh [Shabbatai ben Meir ha-Kohen*]
May the memory of the righteous be of a blessing, great-grandson of the writer of
“Hakham Tsevi “ May the memory of the righteous be of a blessing in the world to come.
Died with a good name at the age of 61 years on the first day of the month
of Iyar 5678 [13 April 1918]
May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
