Reb Berel Zajbert. Here lies an old man with a beloved soul,
a respected man in the city, negotiated with trust
and toiled with the Torah and with good deeds all of his days,
studied with the wise and has done all that he could to benefit
the poor, was charitable and supported the hands of the needy
in secret, was righteous, was humble, Reb Dove Berel
son of Reb Pinchas of blessed memory,
died with a good name at the age of 75 years on 16
Mar Heshvan 5678 [1 November 1917]
