(Center) He is my father, the genius rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Meltzer. The grave on the left is the one of Rabbi Abraham, son of Yechiel (known as "Abraham Dantzig"), author of the famous books "Chaie Adam" (The life of man; Frankfurt am Main 1852), and "Chochmat Adam" (The wisdom of man; Vilno 1816). He died Tuesday 4 Tishri 581 (= Tuesday 12 September 1820). The epitaph (edited by Shmuel-Yosef Finn in "Kiryah Neemanah", Vilno 1860, p. 234) says that Rabbi Abraham Dantzig chose himself the place where he wanted to be buried, and ends with quoting Genesis 22:14 : "So Abraham called that place". Translated by Avraham MALTHETE
