Here lies the head learned scholar, our teacher R. Szimszon/Shimshon Diker son of the rabbi of the holy community of Zwahil/Zvahil . The stone was rebuilt in the year 5673. Translated (smages@comcast.net) Our Master and Teacher the Rav Rabbi Simshon, was the son of our Master and Teacher the Rav Rabbi Abraham Diker (or Decker). He was the Av Bet Din (president of the rabbinical trial) of the city of Zvahil. He has been one of those who gave money to build the yeshiva of Chaim of Volozhyn (the "Nefesh HaChaim"). He has been also the first who founded a bank in Vilno and praticised charity all along his life. He died 15 Marcheshvan 584 (= Monday 20 October 1823).
