Shout bitterly, streams of tears will flow to the earth,
in memory of a beloved, our lioness mother.
What was that, that you went to your resting place.
At noon your luck turned, your world darkened and you
went to reside in the heavens, you held the poor and the needy with both hands,
your hands were engaged in good deeds, in secret and in open,
they were mostly engaged in charitable work, your actions will
be praised in the gates, those who knew you will now
mourn for you, men and women, you will stand to the days
of the Messiah, you were a mother to us and you nourished us,
surely she is the important, honest, modest and beloved
woman, Ms. Mondil Beila daughter of the scholar R’ Dow Ber
of blessed memory, died on the Holy Sabbath 26 Kislev
in the year 5612 by the abbreviated era [20 December 1851]
