On the left - Here lies. Tears will run like water because an honest God-fearing man was suddenly taken to the heavens, our teacher and rabbi Naftali son of our teacher Yehudah of blessed
memory. Died tender in years on 22 Heshvan 5654 [1 November 1893]
May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
