May her soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life. (The epitaph is an acrostic poem spelling the name Chava daughter of Mordechai) You are a crescent of a valued ancestry and with his fury he cut off a branch from there, her soul returned to the Lord after a long illness, in the precious Sabbath she rebuked the reading of curses, the most splendid woman, wise with a good mind, learnt all the proper manners at her father’s home, was merciful, charitable and generous, cared for poor women in confinement and gave them help, all of her desire was to plant piety, love to the Torah, wisdom and knowledge in the hearts of her offspring.
